Cleaning the FertiSpot

  • At the end of the season

REQUIREMENTS

  • The machine is coupled to the tractor

  • The fan is switched off

  • The filling auger is switched off

  1. Disconnect the energy supply from the metering unit housing 1.
  2. Remove the cotter pin 2.
  1. Remove the air separator 2.
  2. Loosen the knurled nut 1.
  1. Open the cover for depot placement 1.
  2. Clean the sheet metal guides in the metering unit housing and rotor with a soft brush.
  3. Check the rotor for ease of movement.

If the rotor blade does not spring back into the end position after deflecting, clean the rotor intensively.

  1. Remove the nut 1.
  2. Remove the rotor 2 and clean it.
  3. Install the rotor.
  4. Put on the nut.
NOTE
The motor control saves the calibration factor for the turning angle sensor on the fertiliser coulter. The depot placement covers may not be exchanged among the rows.
  1. Close the cover of the metering unit housing.
  2. Tighten the knurled nut.
  3. Install the air separator.
  4. Install the cotter pin.
  5. Mount the energy supply on the metering unit housing.
NOTE
If the depot placement covers are not installed in the same position after cleaning, the depth detection must be recalibrated.
  1. Lift the machine.
  2. Set the placement depth on all coupled fertiliser coulters to position 6.
  3. In the Settings menu, select Info > Diagnosis > Rows.
  4. Press .
