Repairing the PreTeC mulch seeding coulter with the coulter carriage

REQUIREMENTS

  • Firm and level hall floor

  • Coulter carriage

  • Secure the tractor against unauthorised operation

  • Direct people out of the danger zone

  • The machine is lifted

  1. Remove the clamp 2.
  2. Remove the conveyor hose 1 from the fertiliser coulter 3.
  3. Disconnect the air supply on the singling unit.
  1. Set the fertiliser placement depth to the topmost position.
  2. Set the mechanical coulter pressure to the highest value.
  3. Set the seed placement depth to the parking position P.
  4. Set the pitch of the V-press roller to position A.
  5. Lift the machine.
  6. Position the transport dolly 2 under the coulter to be removed.
  7. To put the coulter with the depth control wheels 3 down in the transport dolly:

    Carefully lower the machine.
  8. Hook the belts 1 onto the coulter.
  9. To put the coulter with the depth control wheels 3 down in the transport dolly:

    Carefully lower the machine.

The support rollers are standing in the transport dolly.

The belts are tension-free.

The coulter mount is relieved.

  1. Remove the coulter clamp 1.
IMPORTANT
Machine damage due to collision with the coulter mounting bracket

When the machine is lowered:

Have a second person watch the coulter mounting brackets.
  1. Carefully continue lowering the machine.

The belts hold the coulter.

The coulter mounting bracket 1 is load-free.

  1. Release the coulter from the frame 2.
  1. Remove the journal bearing 1.
  2. To ensure that the new journal bearings have full contact with the coulter mounting bracket:

    Clean the coulter mounting bracket.
  3. Install new journal bearings.
  1. For long-term tight fit of the coulters:

    Clean the frame and the coulter mounting brackets.
  2. Move the transport dolly with the coulter 1 to the desired position on the frame 2.
  3. Slightly lift the machine.

The coulter is standing in the transport dolly.

The belts are tension-free.

The coulter mounting bracket is load-free.

  1. Ensure that the coulter mount 2 is aligned parallel to the profile rail 3.
  2. Ensure that all journal bearings 1 are touching the profile rail.
NOTE
Tighten the coulter clamp when the coulter mount is relieved.
IMPORTANT
Damage to the frame due to loose coulter bracket
After one hour of operation, check the bolts for tight fit.
  1. On telescopic coulters:

    Tighten the bolts 4 to 160Nm -180°

or

On non-telescopic coulters:

Tighten the bolts to 200Nm.

  1. Lift the machine further.
  2. Remove the transport dolly.
  3. To replace other journal bearings:

    Repeat steps 1 to 26.
  4. Install the supply hoses on the singling unit.
  5. Install the supply hoses on the fertiliser coulter.
  6. Establish the hydraulic supply, Establishing the energy supply.
  7. Establish the energy supply, Establishing the hydraulic supply.
