Calibrating the spread rate

PREREQUISITES

  • Fertilizer hopper is at least 1/4 full of spreading material

NOTE
If the machine with a two-chamber hopper should only spread one fertilizer type, combine the fertilizer hoppers in the software.
  1. In the menu Settings > Machine, select > Hopper selection.
  2. Set the checkmark under Combine fertilizer hoppers.

During calibration, both metering units rotate at the same speed.

Provide both metering units with a calibration container.

  1. Unlock the locking lever 2.
  2. Open the calibration flap 1.
  1. Slide the calibration container 1 under the metering unit housing and into the receptacle 2.

  2. To fill the metering roller:

    press the Calibration button for 10 seconds.
  3. Empty the calibration container.
  4. Suspend the calibration container with the calibration scale on the weighing point.

  5. To tare the calibration scale:

    Switch on the calibration scale with the empty calibration container.
  6. Slide the calibration container back into the receptacle under the metering housing.

NOTE

To determine a precise calibration factor, fill the spreading material remaining in the sluice into the calibration container.

  1. Empty the calibration container.
  2. Place the calibration container in the storage compartment.
  3. Close the calibration flap.
  4. Close the locking lever.
