Cleaning the field sprayer on the field

Clean the spray liquid circuit, the spray lines, and nozzles while driving on the field, as cleaning water is applied intermittently. The implement can be cleaned in the farmyard, if a collecting facility, such as a biobed is available.

There is a distinction between fast cleaning and intensive cleaning:

  • Perform quick cleaning daily.

  • Intensive cleaning must be performed before a critical agent changeover or before taking the implement out of service for a longer period of time.

PREREQUISITES

  • The flushing water tank must be filled.

  • The spray liquid tank must be empty.

  1. Run the spray liquid pump.
  2. On the control terminal, select the Cleaning menu.
  3. In the Cleaning menu, select either Intensive cleaning or Quick cleaning.
NOTE
The intensive cleaning procedure takes approx. 15 minutes.
During the intensive cleaning, water will be automatically sprayed out onto the field three times.
  1. To check the conditions for cleaning:

    Compare the setpoints and actual values.
  1. Start cleaning.
  2. Enter the quantity of flushing water desired for the cleaning.

The agitator will be flushed and tank internal cleaning is switched on.

  1. Confirm and start-up at the same time.

The cleaning water will be sprayed out. Spraying is switched on and off several times.

  1. Place a collection bucket under the drain valve.
  2. Open stop tap DF.
  3. Open stop tap RM.

The final residual quantity flows out.

  1. Close the stop taps.
  1. Take out the suction filter.
  2. Clean the suction filter with water.
  3. Grease the O-rings.
  4. Reinsert the suction filter.
  1. Unscrew the pressure filter.
  2. Clean the pressure filter with water.
  3. Grease the O-rings.
  4. To ensure that the opening of the filter receptacle is flush with the connection fitting:

    Insert the pressure filter properly.
  5. Screw the pressure filter back in.
  1. For intensive cleaning, clean the nozzle filters and the line filters.
