Crop protection products that are not used properly can cause accidents, adverse health effects or even death as well as environmental damage and implement damage.
Comply with the national regulations for occupational health and safety as well as the first aid measures in the safety data sheets concerning bodily contact with crop protection products.
Follow the country-specific regulations for handling and applying crop protection products.
Comply with the warnings and regulations from the crop protection product manufacturer concerning handling of crop protection products for dosing, application, and cleaning.
Before starting the application, consult the safety data sheets to find out about the health risks and safety risks of the crop protection products used.

To prevent damage to components and materials of the machine:

In order to rinse off crop protection product in the event of an emergency:

Always ensure that there is sufficient water in the hand wash tank.
Do not mix different crop protection products.
Fill the machine only by means of AMAZONE original filling equipment or by means of filling equipment that meets the AMAZONE requirements.
Do not exceed the nominal volume of the spray liquid tank.

To ensure that the machine payload is not exceeded:

Pay attention to the specific weight of the spray liquid when filling the machine.
Never open spray liquid lines that are under pressure.

Personal protective equipment
Handling crop protection products increases the risk of adverse health effects for the operator.
Always wear suitable and robust work clothing, such as safety footwear, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt.
In addition, wear the required personal protective equipment required as specified in the safety data sheets for the crop protection product or directly specified on the crop protection product containers. Depending on the application, this includes: Pesticide gloves, protective coveralls, sleeve apron, tight-sealing protective goggles, eye protection or face mask, and respiratory protection.
Use personal protective equipment for all activities where contact with crop protection products is possible. In particular, these activities include filling the spray liquid tank, making adjustments on the implement, tasks on the spray nozzles, emptying, cleaning, and maintenance.
Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the personal protective equipment.
IMPORTANT
Working safely in the cab
The operator can also be exposed to hazardous substances in the cab.
In the cab, wear PPE that is suitable for the protection category of the cab in question and the requirements specified in the safety data sheets of the crop protection products used.

To prevent dusts, aerosols, and fumes from penetrating into the cab:

For Category 4 cabs, ensure that doors and windows are adequately sealed.
Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the system for fresh-air intake and filtration.
Take off contaminated protective equipment, contaminated clothing, shoes, and gloves before entering the cab.
Do not bring any containers of crop protection products or used filters into the cab.

To prevent or eliminate contamination due to aerosols and fumes:

Clean the cab interior as specified in the maintenance schedule.
