Cleaning the field sprayer on the field

Clean the spray liquid circuit, the spray lines, and nozzles while driving on the field, as the cleaning solution is applied intermittently. The machine can be cleaned in the farmyard, if a collecting facility, such as a biobed is available.

There is a distinction between fast cleaning and intensive cleaning:

  • Fast cleaning must be performed daily. Duration: 4 to 6 minutes.

  • Intensive cleaning must be performed before a critical agent changeover or before taking the machine out of service for a longer period of time. Duration: Approx. 15 minutes.

PREREQUISITES

  • Flushing water tank must be filled.

  • Spray liquid tank must be empty.

  1. Run the spray liquid pump.
  2. On the control terminal, select the Cleaning menu.
  3. In the Cleaning menu, select Intensive cleaning.

In the Cleaning menu, select Quick cleaning.

NOTE
During the intensive cleaning, the cleaning solution will be automatically sprayed out onto the field three times.

The control terminal shows the conditions that must be met.

  1. To check the conditions for cleaning:

    Compare the setpoints and actual values.
  1. Start cleaning.
  2. Enter the quantity of flushing water desired for the cleaning.

The agitator will be flushed.

Tank interior cleaning must be switched on.

  1. Confirm and start-up at the same time.

The cleaning solution will be sprayed out. The spraying procedure will be switched on and off several times.

During intensive cleaning, cleaning solution is sprayed out automatically three times.

  1. Place a collection container under the drain valve.
  2. Open stop tap DF.
  3. Open stop tap RM.

Empty the final residual amount into the collection container.

  1. To end residual emptying:

    Close the stop taps.
  1. Take out the suction filter.
  2. Clean the suction filter with water.
  3. Grease the O-rings.
  4. Re-insert the suction filter.
  1. Unscrew the pressure filter.
  2. Clean the pressure filter with water.
  3. Grease the O-rings.

  4. To ensure that the opening of the filter receptacle is flush with the connection fitting:

    Insert the pressure filter properly.
  5. Screw the pressure filter back in.
  6. For intensive cleaning, clean the nozzle filters and the line filters.
