Installing the battery

CAUTION
Risk of chemical burns by battery acid
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
Do not inhale battery gases.

If you come into contact with battery acid or battery gases:

Rinse off the battery acid thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

When the battery was removed to be stored protected from frost, it must be reinstalled for operation.

  1. Check the voltage of the battery at rest.

Battery status

12,8V to 12,65V

The battery is fully charged.

12,6V to 12,4V

The battery is half charged.

< 12V

The battery is discharged.

  1. If the battery voltage is lower than 12V:

    Charge the battery

or

If the battery is not consuming any power:

Replace the battery.

  1. Use the handles at the top to open the cover 1.
  2. Disconnect the cable plug inside the cover.
  3. Carefully take off the cover.
  1. Put the battery 1 in the holder.
  2. Install the battery holder with the bolt 2.
  3. To prevent short-circuits:

    Install the positive terminal + first.
  4. Install the negative terminal -.
  5. If terminal covers are available:

    Put the terminal covers on the battery.
  6. Mount the cable plug inside the cover.
  7. Install the cover.
