Performing regeneration of the diesel particulate filter

The temperature of the diesel particulate filter increases significantly during regeneration.
Ensure that no one is on the machine during regeneration.

When regeneration of the diesel particulate filter is required, a warning message appears on the AmaDrive vehicle terminal. The Exhaust after-treatment indicator light lights up red.

The regeneration must be performed within 5 hours after the indicator lights up, otherwise engine power will be automatically reduced. Regeneration must be performed when the machine is at a standstill.

  1. Drive the machine onto a free and level surface.
  2. Activate the parking brake.
  3. Select the menu Settings > Machine on the AmaDrive vehicle terminal.
  4. Activate Diesel particulate filter – perform regeneration.

Regeneration will be carried out.

When regeneration is finished, a message appears on the AmaDrive vehicle terminal. The Exhaust after-treatment indicator light is lit green.

  1. Confirm the message.
    TROUBLESHOOTING

    If the machine must be moved during regeneration:

    Regeneration can be aborted prematurely, for example, to move the machine out of a danger zone.

    • To abort regeneration prematurely:

      Select .

    The Exhaust after-treatment indicator light is still lit red.

    • When the machine is parked in a safe area:

      Restart regeneration and allow it to completely run through.
