Determining the calibration factor for lime

PREREQUISITES

  • PTO shaft switched off

  • Lime spreader unit must be mounted

  • Hopper fill level must be at least 2.204,62 lb (1.000kg)

  1. Comply with the implement operating manual.
  2. In the Settings menu, select >Calibration.
  1. Enter bulk density in lb/gal (kg/l) or an empirical value.
  2. Continue.
  3. Check the setting values and change if necessary.
  4. Continue.
  5. Check the other points.
  6. Dismount lime chute.
  1. Start pre-metering for uniform fertilizer flow at calibration.

If fertilizer has been adequately pre-metered, the floor belt stops automatically.

  1. Alternatively stop the floor belt manually.
  2. Clear away the quantity that has flowed out.
  3. Continue.
  1. Start the calibration.

The quantity spread and the calibration time will be shown.

  1. When approximately 500 kg have been spread:

    Terminate the calibration.
  2. Weigh the spread quantity.
  3. Enter the weight of the spread quantity.
  4. Continue.

The new calibration factor will be displayed.

  1. Save the calibration factor.

or

To optimise the calibration factor:

Save the calibration factor. Repeat calibration.

or

Discard the calibration.

  1. Prepare the machine for operation.
  2. Pour the spread amount back into the hopper.
