Adjusting the spring tension of the rigid side guide plates

The spring-mounted guide plate gives way laterally, if there are obstacles. The pre-tension of the coil springs is adjustable 2.

The tension of the spring is factory adjusted for light and medium soils.

So that crop residues can pass underneath the side guide plates.

  1. To bring the spring tension element 1 into the desired position:

    Adjust the pre-tension with the bolted connection 2.
  2. Make the same adjustment for the opposite side of the implement.

  3. To check the adjustment:

    Drive for 98,43 ft (30m) at working speed and then check the work pattern.
